Located in the center of Korça, the "Resurrection of Christ" Cathedral is a large, impressive church with Byzantine Revival-style architecture and the largest one in Albania. The renovation process began in 1995 after the original cathedral was destroyed during the rule of the Communist Party in 1968 as religion was prohibited all across Albania. If you are intrigued by religious buildings and monuments, we definitely recommend visiting it.

The Museum of Medieval Art is one of the most interesting museum of medieval arts with over 7,000 pieces of art, with wonderful collection of icons, especially those by Onufri.

Don't forget to stop at Mësonjëtorja, which was built in 1887, the first Albanian secular school turned into a symbol of Korça. This is a great place to go if you want to learn more about the albanian language, an independent branch within the Indo-European languages which is not closely related to any other modern Indo-European language.

The small village of Voskopoja is the perfect destination for a day trip, only 30 minutes from Korça by car. It’s such a beautiful place which is known for having a lot of churches.
